Steve Leedom, founder and chief marketing officer
Steve has a long corporate history in new product development, creative design and Internet marketing. As vice president of marketing at Smartshop.com and Cinemascore.com, Steve lead the development of the Web site environment and implemented strategies for product branding, membership acquisition and retention, affiliate programs, advertising revenue streams and corporate public relations. Steve also previously served as director of marketing for the venture capital firm ALARIS, Inc. and served as the senior marketing manager for Packard Bell/NEC’s Internet Business Unit.
Kyle Duncan, lead designer – creative services
Kyle provides a wide range of creative services from conceptual development through the final production of a variety of graphic design, website development and illustration solutions. His experience in graphic design includes many forms of print media from marketing brochures, collateral, and reports to exhibits, advertising, and publishing. Prior to Section 1 Marketing, Kyle’s held Creative Director positions at two Internet startup ventures.
Nozomi Sasaki, social media sales consultant
Nozomi provides business owners with a more effective and practical approach to growing professionally through effective management of time, money, resources, relationships and technology. Her 15 years of executive experience in business strategy, consulting and supply chain management gives her keen insight to the issues owners and managers grapple with in the ever-changing business environment of today.
Kari Strong, social media sales consultant
Kari is a graduate of the University of California – Riverside and holds a B.A. in Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature. Her background in the field helps her to develop insights on cultural trends, effective communication, and to find intersections between diverse topics. Kari interests and areas of expertise include Los Angeles nightlife and entertainment, ultimate frisbee, healthy eating and alternative medicine, entrepreneurship, and small business.
Michael Bouyer, video producer and commercial photographer
Michael has acquired some impressive clients: Black Angus, Spoons, Applebees restaurants, Ross Clothing Stores, Best Western Motels, TIME Magazine, Designers Illustrated Magazine, and Local Color Magazine, Intel, IBM, SunTrips Airlines, just to name a few. Michael has also taught multimedia studies, throughout California, since 1986, and is a former faculty member at San Francisco State University. His classes have been seen on CNN World News, the BBC, and Nippon TV, and Heads of State and heads of industry have visited his programs in progress.
Roger Brown, search engine optimization marketing specialist
Roger is a Search Engine Optimization Specialist and Guru working in the San Jose, California area. Learning under some of the top names in the SEO industry, he has been able to create, implement and continue successful Search Engine Optimization campaigns. His skills reside in being able to manage various groups of web development so as to implement best practices into each site launched, or each campaign that begins.
Gail Murrell, internet marketing sales consultant
Over the past three years Gail has been helping business owners develop their local market outreach through specialized Internet advertising placements, utilizing both free and paid programs. His 30+ years experience working hand-in-hand with small business owners has provided Gail with a unique perspective on the “mom-and-pop” business industry. His motivation comes from his personal desire to help bring the mindset of the small business owner into the Internet-age, as he sees the old methods of advertising quickly being replaced by Social Media and Internet awareness campaigns.
